Gecko Villa and Bungalows offers boutique accommodation, featuring 5 traditional timber bungalows with alang-alang roofs, in addition to one main villa, all located on Mangrove Beach, Jungutbatu.

Gecko Villa and Bungalows enjoys the quieter side of the island while still being close to Jungutbatu’s eat street, surf breaks, and swimmer-friendly beaches. Enjoy morning walks along the beach, or have your ice-cold beer in one of the nearby warungs come sundown.

Each bungalow features a king bed (convertible to twins), a TV, a wardrobe, a bathroom with a standing shower, a mini fridge, a water dispenser, and a private balcony with views of the pool and garden.

The main villa features a private pool, a spacious living room with a kitchenette, a master bedroom with a king bed, and a bathroom with a bath tub and standing shower. Enjoy the day goes by and panoramic views of the beach and Mount Agung from the villa from the observation deck.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Gecko Bungalows. The bungalows are nicely furnished, with a comfortable bed and all amenities. The common pool was also really nice and we got to be the only users during the days that we stayed there.

I really enjoyed my stay at one of their bungalows. The bungalows are spacious and well maintained. The pool was always very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Joni who leads them is very kind and polite and helped me with finding the best transport options around the island. I will definetely stay again at Gecko next time I come to the paradise island of Lembongan!

Nearby activities
Beautiful beach and snorkelling within walking distance. Delicious local food available at Nyoman’s Warung, which is just a five minutes-walk away.
Safety
I felt very safe and the bungalows include a safety box and are locked with two doors (fly screen and actual door).
Walkability
Key bars, restaurants, spas and attractions are within walking distance. They also rent scooters which you can use to explore the island as a whole and the neighbouring Ceningan Island.
Food and drinks
They don’t offer a full breakfast but they will provide UHT milk, tea and coffee for a simple breakfast drink. There are plenty of options of where to eat within 5-15 minutes walk.

Our stay at gecko was so lovely. Great location- close to nearly everything but far from buzz. We were warned about noise from the local full moon party at the time of booking but honestly, the noise was negligible and didn’t bother us at all. Joni, the manager, and all the staff were lovely and very helpful. We would definitely stay at Gecko when we come back to Lembongan.

So far the most beautiful place I’ve stayed during my trip to Indonesia, spacious bungalow equipped with everything you need: large and comfortable bed, fridge and minibar, water dispenser, soap and insect repellent. We stayed for three nights in one of the beautiful bungalows, and everything exceeded our expectations. The bungalow was modern, clean, and had great air conditioning — everything you need and more was provided. Our host, Joni, was amazing. He gave us his number and always responded very quickly to any questions we had. He even arranged a scooter for us right at the bungalow at a very affordable price, and organized a fantastic snorkeling tour that was one of the highlights of our trip. Great quiet location, very well maintained, a stone’s throw from the beach. The accommodation was clean, cozy and pleasant. Juni was great: great welcome, always available and responsive when we needed something (scooter, information, fastboat transport, etc.). We felt really good there. I recommend without hesitation.

Joni and his staff are so hospitable, welcoming, and polite — truly amazing hosts.

On our last day, I needed to get a massage due to some pain, and Joni was incredibly understanding. He kindly allowed my friend and me to check out 40 minutes later so we didn’t have to rush.

I highly recommend this villa — it’s close to all the restaurants and beaches, and the service is exceptional. Nothing was ever too big or too small for Joni and his team.

Let me start by saying I know the owner. But the only difference that makes to the review is that I bothered to post one, because I never review anything.
Their place is awesome. We stayed in the Villa, which is the bigger accommodation with its own space and pool. The pool is large as personal pools go and about a perfect a temperature as you could get. There is viewing everywhere out to the beach across the road and day beds to lounge around on.
The wooden construction and thatched roofing make you instantly feel on holiday.
We used every part – even the bath (which might be the best shaped bath I have been in for 2 people) – after finishing an extended snorkelling trip a bit on the cold side.
Joni (in particular) and all the staff are as helpful as can be. Nothing is too much trouble (even a second doona for my partner who sleeps like she is in the Antartic).
Lembongan is far and away the most relaxing area of Bali I have visited (and I have seen most of it in 6 trips) and this area is the perfect balance of being away from what amounts for hustle, but yet is less than 5 minutes scooter to the action and even the far side of the island is only about 15 minutes. Yes, scooter organised by Joni.
Did I mention the vista to Mt Agung which greats you each morning ? It might be a holiday, but it still worth getting up to the viewing platform each morning for sunrise.
We debated the perfect duration for staying again (even though we packed in snorkelling and jet-skiing already in our 3 night stay) and decided we could easily spend 5 nights here no problems at all just relaxing and drinking in the sunsets at a different location every night.
Looking for few relaxing days with a loved one ? Just book it!
