Lembongan Surf Lessons


Nusa Lembongan has some world class surfbreaks suitable for surfers at all levels; beginners, intermediate and advanced.

We have four surfbreaks; Playgrounds, Lacerations, Razors and Shipwrecks. The ocean is crystal blue and clean with good visibility of the ocean floor.

Lembongan Surf Lesson instructors have been surfing in Lembongan for all of their lives and very experienced about the local swell, tides and conditions. They also have experience surfing in Australia, New Zealand and around Indonesia. Many of our instructors have placed in the top four in many local surfing competitions and are supported by Lembongan Surf Team.

We have different packages to offer you depending on the number of lessons, people and your level of surfing experience. We have provided lesson for children to adults. We have all size board to cater and rash-vest.

We love our island and love sharing it’s beauty of the waves with our visitors.

We have a wide range of quality soft and hard boards available to hire ranging from 5’0 – 9’0

Samudera is a beautiful, balinese and javanese style, two bedroom beach home (villa) situated within a lush tropical garden under a large mango tree and lovely pool, perfect for cooling off and relaxing any time of day and night. There is also a rustic sleepout nestled in the garden, beside the pool, with a queen size bed. Samudera accommodates up to four adults (plus children).

Villa Samudera is perfect for a romantic getaway for a couple looking for spaciousness and seclusion; two couples hanging out together; a group of mates hanging out, or for the family surfing holiday.

Villa Samudera is an open plan design, blending Balinese, Javanese and contemporary elements. It is situated 200 metres from the beach down a sandy gang (lane) from Shipwrecks Surfbreak and Jungut Batu Beach. Nusa Lembongan is a tropical island paradise offering a place that is naturally rich in its environment, especially its surrounding tropical waters, and traditional Balinese heritage and culture.

Villa Samudera brings the outdoors inside, built with recycled Ulin (Ironwood) timber posts, beams and floorboards from Kalimantan, decorated with Antique teak javanese doors and wood panels. With the alang alang (thatched) grass roofing, high ceilings, and an open plan, the interior spaces stay cool making it a great place to retreat from the heat of the day. The only door to lock is the door to the garden entering the premises.

The living, kitchen and dining areas are completely open and feature stunning interiors from the Indonesian archipelago and the Asia region. There are two beautiful main bedrooms that have large king size beds with natural linens and a private bathroom each, separated from the open plan living space with romantic curtains that create a private retreat, when it is needed. Each room has views to the garden and pool.

The private rustic sleepout nestled in the garden beside the pool, provides a queen size bed and is a great place for a teen retreat or for hanging out by the pool.

Villa Samudera is a perfect relaxing space, designed for sharing and yet is spacious enough to ensure privacy.

Breakfast:

We provide food basics including a self-serve Continental Breakfast of bread, milk, a selection of local tropical fruit, juice, spreads (honey, jam, peanut butter, and butter), Sumatran plunger coffee and selection of Lipton teas.

A fully cooked breakfast by our wonderful staff can be provided upon request (one day before) at 100,000 rupiah per head, paid directly to our staff.

Please note there is no Generator at the Villa and power outages are unpredictable on Nusa Lembongan.

Highly recommended

We had a lovely stay at the villa for our honeymoon. The staff was so friendly and helpful, it made everything feel super easy. The photos of the villas don’t really do them justice—ours was more spacious & beautiful than it looked in the photos. It’s also a great location on the island—really close to a couple restaurants and spas. The views of the bay are excellent, and you can even see a bit of ocean from the private pool. This place is definitely worth it.

Exceptional!

Great villa close to the beach and the ferry drop off point. Nice clean rooms and good air con. The villa was well equipped with pots and pans and the fridge stocked with drinks. Staff and communication with the team via email was honestly exceptional. They helped organise our transfers to and fro hotels and also the motorbike rental. Thank you to the team we had a lovely time

Private, Quiet and a great view

We had a wonderful stay at tenang villas. The villa itself is beautiful, with stunning views over the bay. The location is perfect and very close to some good restaurants. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay relaxing and easy – our scooter broke down on Nusa Ceningan and they had a new one to us within 3 0mins! Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

BEST staff!

The view of the beach from the villa was incredible. Satik and the whole team were amazing. They go the extra mile for customer satisfaction. I will safely say out of all the AirBnb’s I’ve stayed at, this place had the best staff/communication. They were so helpful to us, gave me rides, were always there whenever we needed and Satik showed me around the Island.  If you want an AirBnb where you are looked after, this is the one!!!

You couldn’t ask for better…

We had an amazing stay at Tenang Villas and highly recommend it. The four of us stayed at Villa 2 and everything was exactly as described and photographed. There was thoughtful touches throughout the villa like filtered water, plenty of toiletries, well stocked kitchen and a super cold fridge. The location was awesome with beautiful views and tons of local and international restaurants. The villa staff was super responsive, accommodating and welcoming. They happily arranged things for us like getting to/from the port and renting motorbikes for the duration of the stay. We will definitely stay here next time we’re here!

Most beautiful view in Lembongan 😍

I stayed two nights at the Tenang 2 Bedroom Villa and it’s been just great.
The communication with the management was easy and everything was well organised.
The Villa itself is beautiful with open living, well equipped kitchen, spacious rooms and bathrooms. But the best is for sure the ocean view of Mount Agung.
The location is great and close to many good restaurants and beaches.
Definitely recommend staying here and I will be back for sure.

Fabulous stay, loved the villa!

PERFECT PARADISE

There is something special about this little island and the location of Tenang Villas couldn’t be better.
The view is magnificent and there is a beautiful little beach 5 min walk from the villa, which is one of my fave beaches on the island.
The villas are fresh, luxurious and modern and well equipped and the staff and the communication are super friendly, available and helpful.
One of my favourite stays during one year in Indonesia.

Welcome to your home away from home! Villa Coral features 4 master suites all with private balconies, ocean views and exquisite ensuites.  If you’re looking for a homey family villa to accommodate up to 9 pax, Villa Coral makes an ideal choice.

Positioned on the beachfront in Tamarind Bay with clear views of Playgrounds and Lacerations surf breaks, you can paddle out for a surf, relax by the infinity pool, watch a movie in the games room, look out to Mt Agung from the upstairs alfresco lounge, enjoy a meal at the open air dining room, or have a relaxing drink around the poolside bar bale.

Snorkelling equipment and SUP boards are provide for your use.

This is a text to thank you for our wonderful accomodation at the coral Villa a week Avon it is a lovely villa , so well appointed , lovely decor, spacious and wonderful staff, especially Dwi. He was very professional, helpful and friendly. It’s in a great location.
One complaint is the paddle boards had no leg strap so difficult to surf with , we also felt the villa should provide life jackets for use with the paddle board. It seems unfair to advertise that these are available but not in good condition. A kayak would also have been an added bonus.

This was our second stay at Villa Coral. Absolutely beautiful villa with the most receptive and friendly staff. Dwi and staff were very accommodating during our stay. Location is perfect, close to surf break, swim and sup at the front door. Can’t wait to come back.

Where to start…we had the best time in the most beautiful place. The location of the villa was excellent right between mushroom and coconut bay an easy walk or taxi ride to great restaurants and shops. The view across the beautiful blue waters to Mt Agung is spectacular. The villa was delightful with well thought out spaces. We were four couples and never did we feel we were overcrowded. The bedrooms were spacious all equal in size and great amenities. Being able to use the Villa Paddleboards and snorkeling equipment was an absolute bonus. The biggest compliment to this place is the wonderful staff that made our stay so enjoyable. They were amazing they cooked us delicious breakfasts each morning, tidied and refreshed the villa with big smiles. A special mention goes to Dwi who helped us with restaurant, taxi and excursion bookings. He was incredibly helpful and kind. I would highly recommend, I’m already planning my next trip to Villa Coral in 2025 🙂 Thanks for an amazing stay!!

The perfect holiday is where one can walk barefoot straight out the front gate of your own private villa on to a beautiful white sandy beach and dive directly into the pristine ocean.

This is Villa Celagi, a four bedroom, four bathroom villa set on the beachfront,where at high tide the water laps peacefully against the front wall with views to the magnificent volcano Mt Agung.  There are four dedicated staff to look after your every need and over the course of your stay you will begin to think of them more as family than staff.

Relax poolside sipping cocktails or for those who a more energetic there are several world class surf breaks which are easily accessible from the villa. Plus the adventure awaits of a whole tropical island to explore either by foot, motor scooter, golf buggy or small pick up truck.

The Villa manager is also available to arrange to take you swimming with the Manta rays or drift snorkelling . The kaleidoscope of coral colours combined with the vast number of species of beautiful fish make these underwater experiences feel like you are in a real life aquarium!

When the tranquility of night falls across the island it is time to make the difficult decision of whether to eat a specially prepared meal at the Villa or go out to one of the many fabulous restaurants on offer on Nusa Lembongan

Beautiful beach villa in a quiet location, exceptional staff, a great week.
Nano, Kadek and Wayan were amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The villa was in a fantastic location right on the beach with easy access to restaurants and activities. The rooms were comfortable and the pool and common area were perfect for a large group.

We stayed on three locations for our Bali trip and Lembongan was by far the favourite amongst all guests. The accommodation was perfect for 2 families. Large rooms all with their own bathrooms. Kitchen lounge and dining all outside overlooking the beautiful white sands and pristine waters. The pool was beautiful however after a long hot day is a bit warm. Walking out of the entry gates straight onto the sand and into natures pool, the ocean, was amazing. The villa is a short walk to fantastic cafes and restaurants however for more fine dining our hosts were always available to make bookings for venues and travel to and from. They also organised snorkelling tours and gave great recommendations on shops and exploring. At one point I needed something printed so they arranged my travel and helped me get it done. Our hosts were only a message away and were fast with responses. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

Incredibly happy with the staff. They were stars. The house is lovely, located right with its own beach, cozy Swedish cafe. We were traveling with a baby and it was not optimal there, but the other kids had a great time. We went fishing, and the best snorkeling tour under the auspices of those who worked there. Can’t get bragged enough from the staff, they were so friendly, helpful and amazing. And the house is really on its own “almost” private beach. Walking distance to lots of cafes.

Our group had a wonderful short stay at Villa Celagi. The house managers were very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. The breakfasts were delicious and made to our liking. The location was perfect for our group (4 adults and 3 teens) and we enjoyed ocean swims on our door step!

LEMBONGAN SURF TEAM

Lembongan Surf Team

The first contest held in Nusa Lembongan was in 1983; at “Tarsan’s Left” – now known as “Playgrounds” and was won by local surfer “Roger”. The event was organized by Paul Anderson from Australia; and along with Brian and George from Seal Rocks (Australia) they had collected about 17 surfboards to take to the island and donate to the under privileged children – thus beginning the Aloha spirit that would carry on through the years to come.

The Lembongan Surf Team was established in 2001 by Wayan Sujaya, Komang Werdi, Caron Farnham & Pedro after discussing the situation and fate to which the local surfers were faced with in regards to not only their own growth but that of the number of tourist surfers in their waters. We decided to unite the local surfers into “LST”.

LST is a sporting club which places an importance on academic achievement / schooling and family values; and mindful that they are also representatives of not just their island but their nation too – this in turn would help to nurture their self esteem and foster integrity into their daily lives.

Each year our local contest is generally held in the months of July or August and has 3 divisions, Masters, Open & Grommets – thus allowing the young to old, the beginner to the experienced surfer to compete in a family like environment that exudes excitement and joy and rewards to all. Thru-out the years we have been blessed by the support and donations from our local community and businesses; along with surf companies from Hawaii, Australia, Europe & international individuals; too more recently surf companies from Bali.

From the support and guidance from elders within our community; Wayan Ware, Agus Tarci, Kodul Reef, Ibu Caron, Jenny & Gazza Midson, Rob & Annmaree Fairweather,  Andrew Elder & Rob Snoad – the level of surfing amongst our boys has risen to heights of seeing them compete successfully to becoming not only champions on the ISC Tour (Indonesian Surfing Championship) of Indonesia but also representing their country in the World Junior Championship held in New Zealand.

Many of our team members have travelled to places as far as, Europe, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand & USA; taking with them their island culture and spirit and returning with a new understanding of other life styles and languages to be shared with their fellow team mates – and in turn becoming respectful citizens and guides to foreign travelers and tourists to our beautiful island of Nusa Lembongan.
