Easter Guide to Nusa Lembongan
Hop Into Easter: The Ultimate Family Guide to Nusa Lembongan
Easter is the perfect excuse to pack up the family and escape to the islands. Nusa Lembongan is small, safe, and genuinely fun for kids — with calm beaches, a great dining scene, and just enough to do to fill a long weekend without anyone getting overwhelmed. Whether the little ones want to splash in a pool, chase a mini golf ball, or catch their first wave, Lembongan delivers.
Here’s your guide to spending Easter on the island — where to eat, where to play, and what to look forward to over the long weekend.
Where to Eat & Play

The best thing about Nusa Lembongan’s family dining scene? Half the restaurants come with a side of entertainment. Here’s where to eat well and keep the kids busy at the same time.
The Beach Shack
🛝 Kids Playground · 🎬 Movie Nights
Right on Jungutbatu Beach, The Beach Shack has a wooden climbing wall to keep the kids occupied while you settle into a daybed with something cold. The vibe is easy and fun, the menu is kid-approved, and on select evenings they run outdoor movie nights on the beach.
The Coconut Hut
⛳ Mini Golf · 🍽 Kids’ Menu
Honestly, the mini golf alone makes this a must-visit. The Coconut Hut‘s island-themed course at the northern end of Jungutbatu Beach is casual, colourful, and a genuine hit with all ages. Their kids’ menu keeps everyone fuelled between holes.
Karana Lembongan
🏊 Pool Access · 🌊 Ocean & Mt Agung Views
For something a little more elevated, Karana offers poolside dining with sweeping ocean views. It’s the kind of place that makes for excellent holiday photos as much as a great meal — and the whole family gets to enjoy it.
Koa Donuts
🍩 Fresh Daily · 🧡 Local Favourite
No Easter family holiday is complete without a doughnut stop. Koa Donuts bakes fresh every morning and sells out quickly — so get there early, grab a bag, and stash a couple for later. The kids will thank you.
Ohana’s Beach Club
🏊 Pool Access · 🛝 Playground · 🍽 Kids’ Menu
It’s no coincidence that Ohana’s Beach Club means “family” in Hawaiian. This beach club is genuinely built around kids — there are two pools with shallow ends, a proper playground, and marshmallow roasting by the bonfire come evening. The ‘Little People’ menu covers all the classics: battered fish fingers, rigatoni bolognese, corn cobs, and Ohana’s signature waffles with ice cream. Plan to spend most of the day here.
Over Easter Weekend, the vibe turns even more festive. On 3rd April (Good Friday), there’s a sunset session with DJ Saul Bliss (UK), followed by a relaxed Easter Sunday on 5th April with live music at sunset. Little ones can also enjoy free marshmallows to toast on the bonfire as the sun goes down — a simple, sweet way to end the day.

Ombak Cafe & Huts
🏖 Beach Play · 🎬 Movie Nights · 🍽 Kids’ Menu
Right in the heart of Jungutbatu Beach, Ombak is where toddlers can build sandcastles and paddle in the shallows while parents actually sit down and eat. The ‘Grommies’ menu — crispy chicken and chips, grilled cheese, brownies, ice cream — keeps even the fussiest eaters happy. Ombak also hosts outdoor movie nights, making it a great choice for a laid-back Easter evening.
Sandy Bay Beach Club
🏊 Pool Access · 🛝 Kids Playground
Located on the island’s southern tip, Sandy Bay Beach Club is one of Lembongan’s most stunning day-out destinations. Relax poolside with a long lunch while the kids burn energy at the onsite play area. The menu is extensive and the setting is hard to beat — and the gelatos and popsicles are a non-negotiable after a morning in the sun.
Over Easter weekend (4–5 April, from 7AM), there’s even more reason to visit. Expect Easter Egg Hunts, face painting, colouring kit activities, and a few fun surprises along the way — perfect for keeping little ones entertained all day.

Sanghyang Bay Bar & Restaurant
🛝 Kids Playground · 👨🍳 Cooking Class · 🍕 Wood-Fired Pizza
Tucked into Mushroom Bay under shady trees with gorgeous sunset views, Sanghyang Bay is a lovely spot for a relaxed family meal. Kids can play in the onsite playground or explore the beach steps away. The menu spans wood-fired pizzas, fresh salads, seafood and pork ribs — something for everyone. For something a bit different, families can also book a hands-on Balinese cooking class with the in-house chef. And parents: there’s a buy-one-get-one cocktail happy hour from 4–6:30pm.
The Sampan Restaurant
🛝 Kids Playground · 🎵 Live Music · 🚗 Free Shuttle
With a dedicated play area, daily live music, and a free pick-up and drop-off service from your accommodation, The Sampan makes family dining genuinely easy. It’s on the northern end of Jungutbatu’s main road and has a lively, welcoming atmosphere that the whole family will enjoy.
For Easter, they’re also hosting a special event on 5th April starting from 10AM — Colour the Joy of Easter. Little ones can enjoy face painting, egg painting, storytelling, an egg hunt, and live music, all for IDR 150k per child.

Easter, Island Style
Easter on Nusa Lembongan is all about slowing down, reconnecting, and soaking up island magic with your favourite people. Whether you’re building sandcastles, swimming in turquoise waters, or sharing laughs over dinner, it’s a holiday you’ll remember long after the bunny has hopped away.
If you’re wondering where to base yourselves, Jungutbatu and Mushroom Bay are the two most family-friendly areas on the island. Both have calm, swimmable beaches, and between them they cover most of the restaurants and activities on this list — so you’re never far from the action (or a good meal).
